From Cagliari towards Villasimius, cove after cove.

A single route by boat, taken at a relaxed pace over half a day: we set off from Quartu Sant'Elena, near Cagliari, and head east along the coast, stopping at the most beautiful inlets to swim and snorkel, all the way to the waters of Villasimius.

The route

Heading east: towards Villasimius.

We set off from Quartu Sant'Elena and head east along the coast to the waters of Villasimius: Mari Pintau, Torre delle Stelle, Solanas and Cala Pisanu (Cala Sirena). The exact sequence of stops and the length of each stay are adapted by the skipper to the wind and sea conditions of the day.

Gulf of Angels

Mari Pintau

Literally «Painted Sea»: white pebbles on a seabed tinged with green and turquoise. One of the first coves after Quartu.

Along the coast

Torre delle Stelle

A headland set between two splendid white-sand beaches, one of the most scenic stretches of the coast. A snorkelling stop over rocky seabeds, with the submerged Christ of Genn'e Mari just a few minutes' sail away.

Along the coast

Solanas

Almost a kilometre of golden sand framed by granite. The signature beach of the coast between Cagliari and Villasimius: a bright stretch where you can stop for a swim in clear water.

Towards Villasimius

Cala Pisanu (Cala Sirena)

A wild inlet of granite and pale sand, reachable only from the sea. The rock walls plunging into the water and the shallow seabed make it one of the most striking spots on the coast, perfect for a snorkelling stop and an aperitif.
