The conditions governing the booking and running of the excursions: the contract between Mikimar and the customer.

Courtesy translation. In the event of any discrepancy, the Italian version of this document prevails.

1. Service provider and subject

These conditions govern the sale of the RIB excursions offered by Michele Egitto — Mikimar, VAT no. IT04231520927, email info@mikimar.it (hereinafter «Mikimar»), through the site mikimar.it.

The excursion includes: a professional skipper, fuel, on-board equipment, water, an aperitif and snacks. Transfers to the meeting point and anything not expressly stated on the tour page are excluded.

2. Booking and conclusion of the contract

Booking is done online by choosing the departure date and time. The selected seats are reserved for 15 minutes, within which payment must be completed: failing that, the booking lapses automatically and the seats become available again, with no charge. Online bookings are possible up to one hour before departure.

The contract is concluded upon successful payment. The customer receives a confirmation email with the booking code and the QR needed for check-in at boarding.

For the «whole boat» mode (exclusive use of the boat) the request sent from the site is not a booking: Mikimar replies with a tailored quote and the booking is finalised only upon receipt of the agreed payment, with confirmation by email.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are expressed in euro and inclusive of all charges. Payment is made in advance for the full amount via the Stripe platform (credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other methods available at the time of payment). Mikimar never comes into possession of the card details.

4. Cancellation by the customer

The customer may request cancellation of the booking up to 48 hours before the departure time, with a full refund of the amount paid. The request is made via the link on the confirmation page (reachable from the email received) or by writing to info@mikimar.it. The refund is credited back to the payment method used, usually within 5-10 working days.

Beyond that deadline the booking is non-refundable, except as provided in the event of cancellation by Mikimar.

5. Cancellation or changes by Mikimar

Safety comes first: should weather or sea conditions not allow the excursion to take place safely, at the skipper's sole discretion, the outing is cancelled. In that case the customer can choose between rescheduling to another available date and a full refund.

The same applies if the excursion cannot take place for technical reasons or because the minimum number of participants stated on the tour page is not reached. In no case is the customer owed any further compensation beyond the refund of what was paid.

6. Right of withdrawal

As this is a service relating to leisure activities with a specific performance date, the right of withdrawal provided under Art. 52 of the Italian Consumer Code does not apply, pursuant to Art. 59(1)(n) of the same Code. The option to cancel up to 48 hours before departure, referred to in article 4, is granted voluntarily by Mikimar and constitutes a more favourable condition for the customer.

7. Check-in, participant obligations and safety

  • Participants must arrive at the meeting point indicated in the confirmation email at least 15 minutes before departure, with the check-in QR. Failure to show up (no-show) gives no right to a refund.
  • On board it is mandatory to follow the skipper's instructions and use the safety equipment provided, compliant with current regulations.
  • Minors of any age are admitted and must be accompanied for the entire duration of the excursion by a responsible adult. During stops in the water a life jacket must be worn.
  • The customer must report at the time of booking, in the special-requests field, any conditions relevant to safety (pregnancy, reduced mobility, conditions incompatible with boating).
  • The skipper may refuse boarding, with no right to a refund, to anyone who turns up in a psychophysical condition unfit for boating or who behaves dangerously towards themselves or others.

8. Liability

Mikimar operates with a vessel and equipment compliant with current regulations and is covered by a third-party liability insurance policy with Allianz S.p.A., with limits of EUR 6,450,000 for injury to persons and EUR 1,300,000 for damage to property.

Mikimar is not liable for damage arising from failure to follow the skipper's instructions or from imprudent behaviour by the participant, nor for the loss or damage of personal effects brought on board (bringing valuables is discouraged; electronic devices are at the owner's risk).

9. Complaints

Any complaints may be sent to info@mikimar.it within 30 days of the excursion date. Mikimar usually replies within 15 working days.

10. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These conditions are governed by Italian law. For disputes with consumer customers, the court of the consumer's place of residence or domicile has jurisdiction, if located within Italy. The possibility of resorting to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedures under the Consumer Code remains unaffected.

11. Changes to the conditions

Mikimar may update these conditions; the version published at the time of purchase applies to each booking. Last updated: June 2026.
